GloriousLasVegas is a blog dedicated to Las Vegas, one of the Seven Wonders of the modern world. It’s written be me, Mike Evans, a British guy who first went to Vegas for a conference in 2005 expecting nothing more than cheap Elvis clones and burgers on every corner. Well the burgers are there, but Las Vegas itself is nothing like what I thought it would be - in fact, it was beyond wildest dreams!

Although Las Vegas as a gambling town is barely 70 years old, it has such a rich and fascinating history that I wanted to know more about it. Then each time I went to Vegas, the hotel hosting the conference was torn down the following year, and I started to realise just what a dynamic place this really is.

So I started to do a bit more digging, and realised that the more I knew about the place, the more I wanted to know. I guess I fell in love with Las Vegas!

Hence this blog. You’ll find articles on Las Vegas history, new Las Vegas hotels, some reviews and tips of the place, and a lot of news.

Vegas exists in its own bubble, and writing about it is almost as glorious as visiting the place!
